‘But the WBTS (Watchtower Society) filed motions in two areas. One for a new trial and another to have the amount of damages reduced.’ (In other words WTBTS is asking for mercy. Mercy, a request JW rank and file in Judicial Committee proceedings rarely if ever receive)!
‘The amount of damages could be less or he could even make them higher. We can only wait and see.’ (my vote is that damages go waaaay higher)!

I think the number of those who have doubt is in the 40% to 50% range, with the remaining 50% to 60% range believing the lie. There is a high percentage that do not agree with the disfellowshipping doctrine alone but still stick around for various reasons.
As the expression goes …’where else is there to go?’ Man by nature needs some sort of religion in his life and so many a JW rank and file member stay in even though hypocrisy in the ‘Truth’ is obvious. Just as you have staunch Catholics, in the same manner there are staunch JWs; especially where there are many generations of JW family involved.
I also think that descent and doubt will continue to increase, brought on by inventions of ‘new light’. Especially when ‘new light’ is adopted with little or no scriptural support, as was experienced in the new generation (over lapping) concoction.

It was one of those ‘do as we say not as we do’ articles. Did you notice that tone in the middle of par 9: “But how wise would it be to invest a lot of time and energy in pursuits that are not of lasting value? Granted, Jehovah’s organization continues to plan for new Kingdom Halls, branch facilities, and other theocratic projects. These endeavors, however, do have a blah, blah, blah.”
So its’ okay for WT headquarters to go on buying, selling, building, furnishing and renovating in the last days in order to make their lives more comfy? While rank and file are being told to just get by with what they’ve got. Jesus’ words keep ringing in my ears ‘but the Son of man has nowhere to lay down his head’. (Mat 8:20) GB are a lot more higher maintenance than Jesus! For sure!

It makes sense that WT favors singleness. More singleness means less marriages; which means less marital problems in the congregations to deal with; which means less JCs; which means less Elders needed; which also means less CA & DC talks, soliloquies & demonstrations on marital problems; less divorces; less separations and less unhappy families in JW World.
Conclusion: If you want a happy family life, stay away from Jehovah’s Witnesses!
